Has anyone connected original dc socket to powerboost?

Was wondering about using the original dc socket on the DMG, has anyone does this? And how did you wire it to powerboost?

You have to check if the Powerboost can accept 6v DC in rather than the 5v that it's expecting but you would wire "+" to the USB pin and "-" to the GND pin or you can use a micro USB breakout board and have it feed the onboard USB port directly.

I have a usb gameboy charging cable which I would use with a 5v usb mains adapter. Do you know which point on the socket is + and -?

Black is ground. And the center DC pole is hot. Best to confirm with a multimeter though

Would be nice if you could credit this forum here for the stuff you show on your website.
