PWM Audio Very Quiet!

Got up to the audio in my GBZ build, and hooked up Helders board and the speaker and added the correct line to the config.txt and the audio that comes out of the speaker is very quiet. I expected it to be quiet, but how it is right now, there's almost no point in it! Don't know if I've wired up something wrong or theres more to the config.txt... I've tried maxing out all the volume settings (alsamixer, retropie & retroarch - which does increase it but it basically becomes noise).

Probably worth mentioning that the 3.5mm jack works pretty well with the exception of some noice in the background, but the audio is at least working pretty clearly.

Thank you!!

Think you have a bad/broken connection on the pcb, helder knows this and he has a repair guide for it. just a matter of a wire.
You also need to have to volume wheel connected, in case you didn't have ..
