Is my monitor recoverable?

Post by okaay » Mon Apr 10, 2017 10:12 am

Hello guys, I think I have killed my monitor. I tried to remove an IC, tested it and it didn't turn on...
The screen I used was a BW 3.5"

I think I messed up because at one point I pulled a little bit too hard. Is there a way to fix it, or do I have to buy a new one?
I feel a little bit sad for failing at such a simple thing...

I have another question belonging DC-DC converters for more please see here

Use a desoldering braid or sucker to remove all that solder and gunk from where you removed the regulator. Clean it up as much as you can, make sure theres no shorts from solder, and do the 5v conversion. Start from there. Good luck.
