please read through the forum.... this has been asked countless time....

you just needed to put a jumper to the chip (chip did not needed to be removed)

how have you got it wired to the pi

red cable to PP1
ground (black) PP6
this worked on another screen.
also about the chip i followed the wiki guide but i've read through this forum and people were writing wire it to pin 2 so I've wired it to pin2.

where have you attached the video wire....

if you read the forum before removing the chip, you may have come across ppl telling you that the chip doesn't have to be removed (contrary to the wiki) and a jumper works, (did should have been tried before removing the chip)....

you may have to put the chip back on...

pics please

put the yellow wire where the white wire is and leave the white wire disconnected (giving you AV1)

of just remove the yellow wire (AV2)

you have several options....

check your wiring (solder joint, and before someone chimes in, yes preferable with a multimeter but not a must)

wire the the ground (screen black wire) to the point next to the white wire and the 5v (screen red wire) to the 5v gpio point on the pi ( it may not be getting power to it...

reinstall the chip and put a jumper to it

buy a new screen and try again (very last resort)
