Yes: the checksum from the downloaded file is different!
I struggled to install from source: honestly: your code formatting in the post is really hard to read. Hard so see the differences between your comments and necessary terminal commands...

Can you maybe upload the programm again with the good checksum? In github would be just fine...
NOTE : md5 will not be same if you compile it. MD5 is of the binary not zip i supplied. Check against that to see if your download was not corrupted.

Ok here you go https://gist.github.com/hex007/a6e67bbd ... 8c5c75fd6f
Let me know if you get stuck. If you ran the backup command then you can restore the binary easily. See Github link

The way to read a terminal code is:

$ -> denotes you are running command as USER
# -> denotes you are running command as SUPER_USER (aka root)
// -> used for comments since # already denotes root

It is not a script so if you copy paste the entire line it will not work. You have to remove the $ or #, so
$> sudo su
#> # Now this is a comment and I am running as root and works if pasted to terminal
#> echo "This is not a comment, I am still root"
#> exit
$>// Now this is a comment and I am running as user. This will not work if pasted to terminal as it starts with // and not #
$> echo "This is not a comment, I am a user"

Hi, i can confirm, that emulationstation is using 50-60% cpu in the menu on my pi zero.
Thanks for your work on the patch!

Did you discuss your patch with the developers of emulationstation, so that it can be included in the official builds?

I am one of the devlopers for ES. It has already been implemented. Update to the latest ES and change OTHER SETTINGS > POWERSAVER MODE to DEFAULT/ENHANCED/INSTANT to try different PowerSaver Modes.
