I was thinking about a replacement of the Adafruit Mono 2.5W Class D Audio Amplifier...

It seems to do the same things, plus a HP / jack auto switch and a nice Gameboy DMG fit.

Someone has more info / opinion about it ?

That one is very expensive, I think one of this: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2pcs-2-C ... 50283.html should work as well.

The diagram looks ok.

This is the one I bought off Amazon.com and actually got it in a pack of 2. Very cheap.

I did use one of this on my first build and it worked very well.

So is this guy just an amp for the headphone jack alone?

Thats a good question, but why would you want a amp only for headphone? I didn't understand clearly if the amp is just for tha headphone of is its for the speaker as well.

@kitsch-bent : do you confirm that your "amp_dmg" card will replace the "gb_amp" one ?
I understand that there are +/- pins for amplified speaker output with is auto-muted when the headphone are plugged. Right ?

Is the headphone port a 3.5mm stereo jack ?
Are there any pin to plug a volume potentiometer ?

I'd like to know if this amp works with the custom parts build by @wermy

I've bought it accidentally at kitsch-bent and still want to use it on my gbz build with stereo. And I'm not quite sure if I still need the low pass filter. Hope you guys can help me with this.
