volume wheel with gameboy pi

Hey guys, I was doing my build a little bit differently and i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out on how i would be able to hook up this volume wheel with the raspberry pi zero

You'd probably have to get it and test out where the leads go, but if it's like the stock GB volume wheel, there are two channels in and then two channels out where the resistance is changed on the output depending on where the wheel is turned. The 5th contact is a reference that turns it into a potentiometer instead of a rheostat (if you want to know the difference check this out). For what we're doing we just need the inputs and outputs, you can ignore the 5th terminal.

See my diagram here for how I wired the original GB volume knob. If the layout is the same in that ebay one you should be able to do the same thing. In that illustration the left-most terminal (let's say terminal 1) is left in, 2 is right in, 3 is right out and 4 is left out.
