Alright So Im to the point where everything is wired up and I've tested all my connections before going to tap into the teensy. But I only have the front wires hot glued in( i.e. everything except common ground in back + X+Y) Can I hot glue the wires on the copper tape and the one extending to the common ground staple? Im just scared if I move it my connections will break off.

Anything helps thanks in advance.

I don't really know that that is necessary the reason that you really want to hot glue the front ones is that they go to the traces and the solder points are more fragile but I don't think that that is really the case with the rear ground i may be wrong tho I am doing that part tomorrow

You probably could, but those connections are much stonger than the others, so they most likely won't be necessary.

I mean, it shouldn't hurt anything if you want to glue them down just for extra protection. :) I wound up glueing mine down for that reason.

Moving this to the GBZ-specific subforum...

If you end up hot gluing the back points, make sure to have 2 additional long wires for the ground connected before gluing down. Reason being you need 2 ground for the side buttons which has not been discussed yet.

I hot glued them down on the back. After all the trouble, I didnt want to take any chances. There was no problem at all with my buttons after connecting them to the tennsy. I recommend continuely testing the continuity as you go along. It will help you more to find a problem a head of time instead of after you soldered everything.

When you say two additional wires are those coming from the staple where we attached xy ground. Or do i attach them to the copper tape ground? So glad u read this I was about to hotglue them all done in like an hour.. I will wait now. HahA

Either one is fine, I just soldered the points to the copper ground point since I can keep track of it easier. Just make sure they are a bit longer, it's always better to cut what you don't need away later then realize you have to take off the glue and resolder.
