Do use the external usb on your GBZ build whether it's a Pi Zero W or Pi 3?

Im just wondering if you're using the external usb port assuming you're not using a non-wifi Raspberry Pi.

I thought I would for installing new roms and the like, but after the initial boot, I haven't ever used it. I SSHed in once or twice to change a couple settings, so if I didn't have the Pi0 W it would've been handy. It also helps that I fried the USB ports on my first two Pis, so I got used to just installing everything I'd want the first time.

I think they are useful to have, but I personally haven't used them.

I stored all my ROMS on the USB stick, this makes it much easier to add / remove ROMS. Easier to upgrade retropie, just imaged new one to another SD card and pop it in...Also less wear and tear on the SD card...
