how hot are you screen display drivers getting?

Hei guys.
Mine is getting quite roasty. How are your screens boards in that department?
I got this screen

with this board. Doesn't work with 5V. so it's connected to the PC 12V (so quite stable and not doing problems)

If the board is getting hot, that may be too much.
Were it me, I would get a rig where I could step up the current from 5V slowly until I found a minimum voltage where it works without frying the board. It might be something like 6.5V or 9V. 12V may work, but it could be burning something out if it's getting as hot as you say.

Well, it's those 3 coils on the PCB which are doing the problems unfortunately. If I put 12V or if I directly supply the 5V to the board (managed to figure it out, will put the info later after finally some sleep)

they get pretty hot. My concern is the driver board which should be right on the battery.
