Hi guys

Just got the screen from ePathChina, (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1) and the IC in it is different from all if found so far in this forum. Im new to this, so i'd apreciate if some of the mosre experienced around here could point me in the right direction to transform this in a 5v ic. I know so far that it's a 12v, one of the wire holes says it.

Hi it's too hard to tell from the picture but maybe you can read the partnr from the two 8 pin IC's and google the pinout to see what pin is the 5v output and connect your 5v to that pin. I would verify first with a multimeter that you see 5V on that pin when the 12V is connected.

i've found that one of the chips is this one

http://www.datasheetlib.com/datasheet/1 ... 9_ame.html

I think is this one, no?

is it safe to remove?

then, can you confirm what are the steps? i'll have to connect the 3rd pin to the 12v wire, is that correct?
