I'm confused. I think wermy went over this in his videos or am I not understanding what you are asking?

I think it depends on the breakout board you use. The one on Sparkfun is more horizontally shaped so you probably only need to trim a bit off the post but the Adafruit one is veritcally shaped and you'd probably need to trim a lot off that post to get it to fit.

I had to do a little of both. If you hold up the usb board to a light, you can see the actual traces are pretty far in. So I dremeled it down to the traces, so it was sort of triangle shaped. I also had to carve out a little bit (not much) out of the side of that screw post to make it fit. Not far enough that it actually got into the screw hole though.

The angle he took the video at and the speed made it hard to tell HOW exactly he did it in my opinion. It looked like he used dremel/xacto knife like he said above but it's still hard to tell. I was going to go into it with the silver drill bit from the same dremel kit and then iron out the rest of it with the xacto.

Yeah i have the blue adafruit one. its a vertical board and it looks like I'm going to need to take out the post. not sure if the post will be needed for anything or whether to just buy the spark fun board....

I used a dremmel with a very small carving tip. I ordered it off amazon. It is a carving/engraving kit.

One option although it might not be as pretty when plugged is to turn the board vertical? Idk how much vertical space it will take up though.
