Collecting information on Gameboy pi 3

Post by Defect02 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 8:44 pm

Hello everyone I'm new here and decided to try my luck at building something challenging and portable, i recently saw Sotasystems build and want to attempt one of my own. as of right now i am barely starting the process of collecting parts and was wondering if i can use the psvita analog sticks instead of the pop-1000 analog sticks before i pull the trigger and order them.

Practically, no because the pins are very very small. You'd need a breakout to effectively connect to the pins. It would be much easier to use a psp-1000's joystick. Technically, though, it can be done. I found this board you can buy. You'd still need to solder a connector to it (which you'd need to order separately).
