Nice job on the video like the others! Does anyone have a decent pot wheel similar in dimensions which I guess is the thickness source? same withe headphone socket? I have a few headphone sockets coming to see the size and dimensions of it can be compatible but the pin locations obviously aren't the same.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

A little confused with what you're asking. Are you asking for OEM similar parts, or parts that wermy used?

If it is what wermy used it is this. 10k ohm pot

Looking for similar OEM parts I know they'll be hard to get but maybe someone has info on a source.

I think this one is pretty much identical to the original DMG stereo pot:

If memory serves correctly, the oem was actually a 1k ohm. Won't make a big difference in your build, as long so you stay at 10k or less

I'm basing it off of this image (note that the thickness is actually 2mm, not 1mm):

It could be wrong. I've seen the image floating around the forums here too. I haven't pulled the volume pot from my old gameboy to test it yet.

@Wermy where did you purchase the volume wheel you are using for the next Guide 6? Are there any specs I should be looking for?

It's a 10kOhm wheel potentiometer from Radio Shack.

@anyone really. Has anyone found any useful way of getting the GB cartridge open without buying the security bit from Kitsch-bent? the bit is only $3 but shipping is $6. I find it to be a little overkill.
