Power cable w on/off switch - opinions / feedback pls

Post by djascher » Wed Jun 13, 2018 1:04 pm

Hi all

Just hoping to get some opinions / feedback from the community on cables such as I found on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.ca/Aukru-Charging-Ra ... ref=plSrch

Have people bought such cables for their gbz/ pi and if so, what do they think?

Thanks

i have a similar cable for my stand alone Pi3 setup, its just used as a power cable (with a on/off).....
it works as it should....

no sure what the benefits are as a charging cable, as once you've charged your GBZ build you'll normally disconnect the cable...

NB: you can get it for a fraction of the price on aliexpress (don't pay $10 for it)

this is the one i have (slightly different switch) and never had any issues with it....

Whoops! Forgot to mention, its for another project I want to do, a cart pi (retropie inside a NES cartridge). That WOULD be a stand-alone and benefit from this kind of cable.

Thanks so much for the feedback - and the links. The one you bought is exactly what I would want but hadn't found; a rocker switch, not the button type I found. I'll be buying the rocker switch for sure!!!
