I haven't gotten to the teensy portion of the build yet, but a comprehensive guide would be awesome.DirtyBullets wrote:don't use the latest Arduino software its not teensy friendly, use 1.6.8.

My new Teensy arrived today, and I have reason to believe it has sucessfully flashed. Inserting the USB gives me the familiar noises from Windows, and a check in device manager shows an extra KB / mouse / joystick under USB devices.
Hurrah.
Thankyou to everybody who has helped on this thread, I truly appreciate it. Do shout if I can help you guys with anything - im handy with cars!

Re: Programming the Teensy
Is there a reason, that the Teensy pins are emulating presses of normal letters on the keyboard? I accidentally entered settings menus and couldn't get out of them without a keyboard or shutting off the Pi. Wouldn't it be more convenient to use the arrow keys, enter and esc for at least some of the buttons? Is there a reason it wasn't done this way?

Re: Programming the Teensy
yes, if you look in my step by step pick the 2nd script that will solve this issue, D pad as arrows and start and select as enter and tab.alien0matic wrote:Is there a reason, that the Teensy pins are emulating presses of normal letters on the keyboard?
