KeDei HDMI Boot Logo Mod

Hey guys!

I came across this https://github.com/floppes/RTD266xFlash

Basically you can change the boot logo and HDMI input message using an Arduino. Pretty awesome for those who are tired of seeing the stock boot logo or want further customization.

On a different note, would anyone be able to help me out with a damaged KeDei screen? I was attempting to mod the display driver to be more efficient using this guide https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=4242 but I ended up ripping off a solder pad for one of the linear regulators. Not sure if there is a workaround or if I can scrape into the circuit board to reveal the trace? I will attach a picture to make things a bit clearer. If the display driver is not savable then is there anyway I can drive the display via SPI or DPI?

really appreciate the share.....
but this was shared recently by someone else (not sure if it was the original creator)
(sometimes its best to do a quick search, but i appreciate the forum has become a little vast)

you should be able to just scratch away some of the surface .....

i personally prefer to use one of these, but you can use what ever you feel more comfortable with...
(just avoid butchering the board)

one tip....
if you ever need to remove a component that is not going to be used or re-positioned....
just get a pair of flush cutter and snip it at the legs and remove the component....
then just run the soldering iron over the legs (that are still soldered to the board) so that they are removed....

this avoid you ripping the solder pads off when trying to remove something
(a bit brutal, but very effective, and your left with a clean board once the legs are finally removed)
