Screen recommendation?
Hello, first time poster!
I plan on assembling a GBZ soon but I'm still undecided on the LCD. I will be using tinkerboys aio (if this matters any.) My only concern is the BW 3.5in screens I've seen people using. Is there any known issues / annoyances with these panels? I'm only asking because I was messing with my friends GBZ (same screen) and I could notice a slight flicker. It almost seems like an issue with the refresh rate? Is this typical for these cheap displays? If so can anyone point me to a better screen? Price isn't much of a concern as long it's quality output. Thanks and apologies if I've missed any posts about this already.

Re: Screen recommendation?
The BW screens are composite screens.
Composite means : highly subject to interferences, inaccurate colors.
Also those screens suffers of flicker as you stated and slow refresh rates.
Other options would be HDMI screen. Check out Veteran Gamer’s build logs for inspiration on using HDMI screens.
Or you have the option to do DPI which is way way better (these are the type of screen Kite is using for his Circuit Swird) but you’ll need an interfacing card,

Thanks for that information. Took your advice and went DPI route via tinkerboys controller V3.0 + DPI Adapter + 3.5″ LQ035NC111 LCD. Looked great on his youtube demonstration.

Re: Screen recommendation?
I’m working on a higher quality build too. Is the extra cost for the dpi screen worth it over an hdmi screen? (Nearly double from what I can gather).YaYa wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 11:31 pmThe BW screens are composite screens.

Re: Screen recommendation?
well, from my point of view, the difference is huge, some may say no it's not. You have a better refresh rate and the image is sharper and more accurate !

Re: Screen recommendation?
I'm really interested in the DPI screen I can find where to get the adapter.
Any one know where I can get the 3.5″ LQ035NC111 LCD closer to au the better.
I'm really not sure an don't want to buy the wrong thing.
