Hi so I came across this GameBoy and I thought that it would be sweet to gut it and turn it into a retropie machine. However, I've never done a raspberry pi build before and I didn't want to sacrifice the fantastic original case for first-timer's mistakes (so I have a new clear case on the way along with a screen). I'm planning on using a full size raspberry pi 2 model b. I don't know how many features I won't include in this build, but I'm planning on having it be very minimal on features. I also am planning to use a Makey-Makey for the buttons. How I'll do that is yet to be determined, but if you haven't seen or heard of the Makey-Makey before, I recommend checking it out. here's a link: https://makeymakey.com/
I'm going to be posting a video (or videos) about the build on my YouTube channel, but as for now, I have yet to get all the parts together. Hopefully in my second build I'll have more features possibly including an analog switch. Wish me luck!

Re: GBZ feat. Makey-Makey
So change of plans! I just ordered a raspberry pi zero and a raspberry pi zero w, and they are a whole lot smaller than I thought they would be, so instead of using my beloved raspberry pi 2 b, I'm going to be using my newly acquired raspberry pi zero, but same concept with the makey makey
