I have another dude:
You say next:
"via Raspi Config (in the Retropie menu)
disable SPI
enable Overscan"

moosepr says:
"in the advanced options you want to make sure overscan is disabled, and spi is enabled."

You and moosepr say opposite.

I feel I am near...;).

Regards.

this method is nothing to do with moosepr method....
(moosepr method is fbtft, this method is a lot more smoother and claims it produces 60FPS)

you would have known/realised this if you bothered to read up on this method.....

https://github.com/juj/fbcp-ili9341

or even had a understanding of what methed moosepr has in his guide.....

just stick to mintyPi v4

you are nowhere near......
as you haven't even bother to follow the steps that i've posted several times now
(you don't need to touch the config.txt until everything has been enable/installed)

follow the steps properly....
or
just stick to mintyPi v4

Finally I could fix the problem. As I suspected, SPI screen doesn't works with a clean install of retropie until you instal drivers I don't know why didn't you warning, although I asked you several times about this. Sincerely, your attitude was very arrogant.

Regards.

Thanks....
It’s great to see the penny finally dropped.... :o

you wanted a warning...
Maybe you should have bothered to follow the steps (which were pointed out several times)....
(This was to “install to drivers” which apparently now you seem to have discovered all by yourself)

You would be actually appreciative, rather than ungrateful...

But I’ll take arrogant (thanks).... :D
I’ve been called worst...
