Need help 12v to 5v lcd

Post by Benderthegreat » Thu Feb 28, 2019 2:40 pm

Hi guys I just recently bought a backup cam on amazon and was wondering how I might be able to convert it to run on 5v. I am very new to this so any input would be amazing, thank you!

This board is on the wiki, the 5V mod shows to remove a chip, and solder to one of the empty pads....

Before you desolder the chip, I would try to solder to leg of the chip and see if it works. You may not have to remove the chip at all.

Here is the forum post about it too,

Always a good idea to check the wiki, and search the forums, the answers are often already here.
