USB hubs

Post by Robvp » Mon May 09, 2016 4:14 pm

I bought a cheapo usb hub to test around and it worked great for the first few days, it recognized a mouse, thumbdrive and usb gamepad, now it will only take a thumbdrive, it works fine on the pc but I'm trying to figure out what the issue could be on the Pi.

I would assume it can be due to the low quality components that it can't get enough juice from the pi to run the rest of the stuff, it couldn't power my filco mechanical keyboard from the start but now nothing works on it, the mouse lights up but it's not detected on retropie or kodi.

I'm using an LG 1.2 amp power brick from my nexus 4 if that helps, I was trying to keep the project on the low cost but if the quality of the hub is the issue I will buy a targus or something of decent quality

Do you have any pictures of the internals of the hub? It could just be something coming loose...
