Testing a new 3.5” 640x480 IPS DPI LCD

Im super super excited to test this beauty! It’s a new 3.5” 640x480 IPS LCD. It’s super sharp and clear. These photos i took from my iPhone doesn’t really do justice.

Won't work for too long, the built in MCU that initializes the screen will be removed going on in the latest batches. An MCU will be needed to make it work if you get the newer ones.

If it’s for Raspberry Pi then you can just initialize the lcd via spi like what the Pimoroni Hyperpixel is doing.

The manufacturer claims it's for stability but more than likely it's to save on cost and manufacturing defects due to the MCU being soldered to the ribbon.

I doubt this is going to work without an MCU to initialize it through it's SPI pins.
