I'm in a bit of a predicament. I opted out of the USB hub option when building my Game Boy Zero, and I am now learning that the easiest way to move ROMS to EmulationStation is by plugging in a USB to the Pi directly. I hooked up the Teensy directly to the PP22 and PP23 pads on the Raspberry Pi, which works great, but it leaves my external USB just about worthless, which is a bit of a bummer.

So I have three ideas, none of which I'm sure will work. I could:

• 1. Solder both the D- and D+ pads from the Teensy and the two data wires from the external USB to pads PP22 and pP23 (So I would have two wires on each pad).

• 2. Just not hook up the external USB, and use the micro USB adapter to hook up a USB drive for ROMs.

• 3. Figure out a way to hook up the data wires from the external USB to the GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi.

So I guess what I'm looking for is more information, if anyone has any, regarding connecting USB data wires to the Raspberry Pi Zero GPIO pins, or whether or not attaching more than one wire to pads PP22 and PP23 would cause issues. I can't find any information regarding USB connection to GPIO pins on the web.

Additionally, if there's anyway anyone knows to move ROMs to the SD card without using a USB or Internet connection, that information would also be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty new to all of this, so please forgive my ignorance.

It may not be much use to you, but I ordered this hub and the PCB turned out to be very thin and only 24x26mm. It fits behind the button PCB just fine!
