Pi Zero Package / Part List

Post by moobox » Wed Jul 06, 2016 8:08 am

Good day,

New user with a question, everyones favorite post I'm sure.

I'm wondering which Pi Zero do I order online. Do I need the essentials pack or is just the Pi Zero itself sufficient? I have no previous experience with the Pi so I'm unsure if I will need what is included with the essentials pack.

Sorry for the question, I tried to find out myself before posting. I remember a couple of months ago I read a definitive part list (with links) that had everything required in a single list but I cannot locate that anymore.

Thanks.

If you have a sd card already, just get the pi0 board alone. That's what i did.

Go to the main sudomod.com page and click on the wiki. There's a complete parts list including alternative parts you can get if you're unable to obtain the ones directly from the tutorial.

For your first one ever, I do recommend getting the package that is immediately above the board only (the package with the HDMI adapter, and the micro usb to usb adapter). These will come in handy, and you'll use them often in the beginning, usually only cost a couple of dollars more. After the first package pi, I suggest buying boards only (you don't typically need a ton of adapters past the first ones).

If confused about what I'm talking about, Pimoroni calls it the "Pi Zero + Adapters" kit. Pimoroni
