Grenade44 Gameboy Zero

Post by grenade44 » Thu Jun 30, 2016 5:55 pm

I just finished my Gameboy zero and I want to thank wermy for his great design. Also want to thank dominator for his kick ass labels and amazing screen protectors with border. It looks great on my slim green shell. My shell is moulded not sprayed slime green. Site I bought my shell from is http://www.gameboymods.co.uk/index.php? ... uct_id=160

I sprayed my cartridge orange to go with the colour scheme on my shell.

Before wermy came along this was my for original design. I came across alot of problems and was about to go back to the drawing board.

"Something strange in the neighborhood, who you gonna call?!"

Haha, can you guess what it reminds me of? Looks good though! Quite unique and fun.

Lol, slimer. I should have tried to do a ghostbusters sort of theme on this lol.

Hi, I have a very damaged case so going to have to do a painted version.
What kind of paint did you use? Also how did you get the start /select labels on there afterwards?
Also it does look good! I'm thinking a yellow with some retro pics on but will see further down the line!

Thanks

My shell is moulded in slime green, I didn't spray it. The labels were already printed onto the shell. The only thing I sprayed was my cartridge. The problem with spraying the shell is that the paint might crack and flake off over time. I took the risk with the cartridge but the cartridge doesn't get touched when playing. Let me find the site which i bought my shell from.

Thanks for that, when I saw your yellowing gameboy I assumed you painted it.... Even though now I look again it is next to the green one :!: ;)
