I haven't used it enough to check properly yet but its lasted for a couple of hours so far.

Hows the audio with that? Any distortion or hiss?
Audio is great, it goes very loud, can feel the vibrations through the shell when its loud enough!, it doesn't have any distortion at normal volume levels, it does if the vol wheel is at max volume and the software vol control is turned up but i don't like it that loud anyway so its ok.
Ill put up a video of it soon.

Yes i wanted to do that so the battery was safely disconnected when i wasn't using it, i don't have a link for the switch as it was desoldered from something and in my parts bin for a while but its a 2P3T switch so you should be able to find one though im not sure about one with the right amount of travel for the game boy switch cover.

This is a 2P3T.

Hi, what have you got so far? Are you using a 2P3T switch like I did or a SPST switch?

An easier way to get the same setup as I have would be to use 2 spst switches:
Connect the +5v output of the alternate power board to one pin of a spst switch (this is the switch up top that turns on the GBZ) and then connect the other pin of the switch to your power strip, then connect the ground from the powerboard to the power strip.

Then connect your power input connector (how you want to charge the GBZ, e.g. micro USB/DC jack) to the pads on the alternate power board (behind the micro USB connector, pads should be marked + and - )

Then for the battery, connect the battery + (red) to one pin of a second spst switch and the other pin of the switch to the B+ pad on the alternate powerboard, then connect the battery - (black) to the B- pad, the second switch is so you can easily disconnect the battery from the powerboard.

How long will this battery allow you to play?
