Finally gave myself some time to work on this.
Screen has been modified to work with 5v, this is the end result:
Soldered to the Pi:
After I soldered it to the Pi all I got was a white screen, solved it by soldering a ground cable into the pi tv input, figured it was just ground and wouldn't need it but apparently you do:
It's running off a 2800mah power amp
Up next, getting neo-geo to recognize my input and finally start cutting away the dmg case to fit the stuff.

Didn't use the red dye, just the developer I had laying around, it did clear up the yellow but not as much, not gonna mess with it any longer since I'm pretty sure I might mess up this casevishald wrote:I am curious about the result of the red dye.

Have you tried throwing it through a cycle in the dishwasher yet?
