Overall, I LOVE this thing... I've played it on the plane a few times and taken it to work with lots of props. I need a gameboy case for this guy!
I fly a lot but am afraid to bring mine through security/TSA. Have you had any trouble with it going through airport security?

.
No trouble at all with TSA. With the kite board and the way it looks, its pretty much as good as a commercial product. I imagine a regular GBZ with all the seperate components under an xray would look suspicious with globs of glue, tons of wires, little boards everywhere.

I've taken one of my GBZ's on a few flights (within Canada, and to Mexico) and had no issues with it in my carry on bag...But yeah, it would not be cool if there happen to be issues. In both cases I didn't even play it, so I will likely not travel much with them anyways.

That was one thing I was curious about. Why did you leave the metal shield in the back half of the case? I was debating when I do my build if I wanna leave it in or take it out. I think your build is the only one I have seen that has it still in.

Btw love the build. Very clean and something along the lines of what I am doing

Guess I just figured I should leave it in.. With no cartridge in there and the shield in, it provides some protection to the internals. I suppose I don't need it now that I have a cart. shell in there.

Ok, so having two people ask me about this prompted me to go in and remove the metal shield. Now my case closure issues are gone! Lesson learned. Don't keep the metal shield.
