Finished this off tonight. Really happy with the end result!

Short of a few questions here and there this largely went perfectly well.

Added the final fixtures as per the pictures and it runs and plays like a dream. Will look to get a nice stand for this now from Rose Coloured Gaming as im keeping this one 👌🏻

Thanks to Hoolyhoo the awesome bracket design. Really saves some fiddly work.

Finally a massive thanks to Kite. His relentless support for people using his board is amazing to see. What a top bloke!

Awesome looking build. I'm digging the transparent case. Very clean.

What gameboy game cartridge did you use?

Just a side note, if you are wanting black start/select buttons, kitsch-bent sells a pack of them. "Full set - Black"
http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/silicone-buttons

They are only $3. I used them on my build too and they work great.

Thanks mate.

I first saw Jellybelly use this case and knew i wanted to use one down the line.

Used an original Game Boy Colour clear cartridge. Had a random Japanese version of Mario so removed the sticker.

As for the start/select the grey is definitely annoying but i refuse to pay the $14 standard int. Shipping from Kitsch Bent. Have been looking for some elsewhere. As and when I come across some with reasonable shipping ill definitely swap them out.

Looks like Deadpanrobot do these but they are currently out of stock. Once back in I'll place and order 😃

Thanks!

I used Sugru for both:

Took a bit of working to the right shape on the charge port but dries pretty hard and easily removable if needed.

No this is the standard 320x240 you get with Kites board. That said the quality is so much better than your standard 3.5' LCD. Really shows.

Have just noted he's offering the 640x480 for his next batch however! Be nice to see a build using it.

As for the case it's clear red 😎👍🏼

You're not the first to say orange though. Maybe it's the lighting in my house 😃

I am curious if you can snap a pic or two of how you did the LED's. I am assuming you filled them in with hot glue like the guide or did you let them stick out the case?

Love the build. Especially that color! If I do another build, I am going to use that color or some other transparent color. My worry would be, the leds on kites board would be visible and bright at night.
