Hey [mention]popcorn[/mention], question for you, how did you get the battery cover to close with that giant battery?

I cut the snap lock off the battery cover and then used hot glue to glue the end of it to the cover so that it could still bend a bit and snap in place.

To close it, I used one of the screw wells in the battery cage (there's just enough clearance to screw a screw down with a long screwdriver). And to hold the other side down, I'm using the right screw well that is to the bottom of the screen. Wermy uses this tact buttons in there but I put those shoulder buttons in the back and sacrificed the cartridge port instead

I'll take some photos of it this week.

Wondering if you were able to incorporate your "graceful shutdown" circuitry on this one already? Trying to figure out how to add to my build. Also wondering if you encountered that "too early low batt warning" from the PB 1000C and if you addressed it with the graceful shutdown code.

Yes to both. The graceful shutdown is in place and works. And both the low battery warning message and the low battery shutdown messages work.

The only thing was that I couldn't quite close the unit all the way. I was running it fine, all closed up, with about a millimeter gap between the shells. And then I cracked my screen when trying to close it down. So now I'm waiting for the replacement screen to arrive. I'll have to rip all the hot glue out and try to mount it all again.

Hopefully I can complete in the next week or so when the new screen comes in.

Which version of the shutdown did you use? Your original design or the mosfet alternate design?

Sorry, been away from here as work has dumped 3 simultaneous projects on me at once so I haven't been around. The Battery Monitor reads the Low LED status and if it sees any bounces, it displays the low battery warning message (since it's appropriate to know that the battery is getting low). When it sees a solid condition until a set timeout, then it knows the battery is actually low and only then, it displays the shutdown warning and does the graceful shutdown. I think the timeout was set for 10 or 15 seconds but you can adjust this. That means that the LED must be solidly on for that entire duration to trigger the shutdown.

I will still be releasing a newer version of the monitor that is cleaned up and uses a config file so you can adjust the parameters to your liking. Hope that helps!
