Finally got the three wing screwdriver. Still have a lot to do but
Retropie is running from rpi0
First buttons work
Got audio

Still waiting for a lot of parts. But I officially started.

I hate the three wing screws. As soon as I got them out, I switched to a standard phillip screw to never deal with that again.

@OP, can't wait! :)

re: tri-wing screws
I hear that you can remove triwing screws with a flathead screwdriver. I tried it once, took me a few hours of frustration. Never again - but its possible! :)

What do you use to get audio?

Seems like there are a couple of main ideas here. The rpi0 does have audio out, which you can attach to an amp and so forth. The other is to install a usb hub (which you're hopefully doing anyway) and use usb audio. I personally am going to do the usb route because it is higher audio quality.
