After finally completing the @wermy build i decided this was next.
while collecting parts I got an old gameboy advance and always loved the feel of it so knew I had to fit it all in there somehow and make it my second build.
It has a 3.5" screen (banggood). I was split between cutting the front to have the full size screen or using the original bezel. Because it looks so good had to go down the original bezel look.
Added the x and y buttons. These are actually buttons from an old sky tv remote, due to the length they were perfect, if anything they need triming (on my to do list)
Has a 2000mah battery, powerboost 1000c. Currently have this running constant to see if it gets overly hot as battery is sitting right next to powerboost so need to monitor this.
I have used the slot for the game cart for the access to the Usbs and I have hollowed out an old game cartridge (thanks Fifa) to cover it to make it look original, this just slides on and off.
The only extra external item added is the micro usb for charging. This is at the top where the original connection was (think the old charging port)
The Gameboy didnt come with a battery cover so had to order a replacement on ebay, was sent the wrong colour so got it for free

It didnt fit with the clip so had to break that off and glue on. Do not intend to move the battery so not an issue!
Does not have an external hdmi but will never use it! also it does not have access to the sd card so might change that on version 2...
Things I need to do.
tidy the x/y buttons
test for hours to make sure nothing melts or worse internal.
adjust the overscan , it is really just the bottom of the screen thats cut off so that needs moving a little
and finally adding @RxBrad custom theme!
My only complaint is the gameboy being a clear case shows the plastic marks inside when parts are removed/cut internally so when I plan on building version 2 will be looking for a solid case.
Would just like to say thanks to @wermy for starting this madness and bringing it out of me!
@RxBrad for his brilliant theme that makes average screens very readable! and
@Brett82 as he did the first advance mod i saw on here, helped me with a few questions and made me know I needed one too
