I'm curious on the socket - did you get the wrong memory socket (it's marked DDR), or is it actually something other than a DDR2 socket as documented on various sites? Can you point me to the right part? Thanks!

Just use a free photo hosting site and use the image tag with link that way you can have as many photos as you want and you can consolidate your threads.

The CM definitely uses a standard DDR2 SODIMM connector. I did actually order the wrong one at first, but the pictures should all be of the DDR2 one.

It's almost the same as a DDR connector but the key that separates the left and right sets of pins is in a different position.
