that screen surround is cool! i am going for the hdmi screen, so i'll use that i think

where did you buy the screen for that price btw?

are you going to use the cartridge reader?

not going for a cartridge reader.... its a nice thing to have, but i put alll the games i want at the start of the build, and if needed ssh into it (pi zero w)... it kinda makes it redundant...

besides i'm aiming for a very simple, but good quality build this time (sound and vision)...

and i'm not even going to be using a usb hub, the external usb is also just going to end up being for show (still usable) to fill that gap (ssh is alot easier than trying to hook up a keyboard) (controls via gpio)

its at around $18 at the moment, reduced from $25

Centering the lcd isn't the challenge...
It's gonna sit in the 3D printed bracket I have

The bezel I have is from deadpan robot, it's messing with the overscan setting that gonna be needed...

Yeah, i had such a screen with the same dimensions, it did fit actually, but the problem was the space left over, left v.s right. would be uneven and need to adjust overscan but you will lose alot of lines of the screen itself losing the true res. but it's not that worse agree, i ended up with a pd035vx2 but had the same issue's i had to pry the screen from its metal frames and grind the plastic border away right behind the backlight to make approx 2mm more space in there, that was really a pita to do but will work.. Looking forward on your end results !
