So i figured its time i make a post about my build (or at least the start of it). I've been wanting to make my Own GBZ for some months and have finally decided to go ahead with it now i have a bit more free time.
I'm buying everything in small portions for the moment as I'm waiting for a AIO board to come around, Preferably one of Helders, before i start assembling everything.
Parts ListShow
Raspberry Pi Zero W - Arrived
Housing - Needed
Power Switch Cover - Needed
(Glass) Screen - Needed
SNES Style Buttons and rubber pads - Needed
Cartridge and Sticker - Needed
Screw Bracket - Needed
Button Wells - Needed
Volume wheel - Needed
Power Switch - Needed
Headphone port - Needed
Micro USB port - Needed
USB port - Needed
Rear Buttons - Needed
JTS lead and connector - Needed
Screen Sticker (surround) - Needed
Speaker - (Use DS lite speaker?)
Screen - Arrived (needs Modification)
Battery Charger/Booster - Needed
Battery - Needed (Use DS Battery for testing)
SD to Cartridge Adaptor - Arrived
DS-Lite GBA cartridge reader - Arrived (Needs removing from DS MB)
All-in-one PCB (Helder) - Needed
I currently have a few parts, The raspberry Pi so i can play around with the software a bit, Also the Screen and a DS Lite so i can do the preliminary soldering and modifications on these.
I'm grabbing the GBA slot from the DS but i'm thinking i could also use the speakers if they fit.
As for the screen (one of the BW Backup screens) I need to modify it to run on 5V

I'm also thinking of using some of the A B style buttons on the rear for the L R buttons instead of the little tactile switches, but I would also like to have a Cartridge slot for the SD card installed as well so depending how much room there is will determine what buttons are used.

I've tried my hardest to plan everything out but i will undoubtedly have a few problems along the way.

I'm looking forward to the challenge and i'll be back with an update when i get chance to progress some more.

I have some left overs from a finished build. Are you located in Europe?
I am willing to donate a bunch of small stuff that I wouldn't use anymore.

I'm in the UK, if you still have some leftovers it would be greatly appreciated. I've sent you a DM.
