As far as i know, recalbox is also running on raspbian, and my optimizations applies to raspbian not to retropie itself... everything is system related, not frontend, so it might work

Great. I will try a fresh install of recalbox tomorrow, and try the guide..
also i tried to install the power optimizing menu in a updated version of retropie, from terminal.
Nothing shows up. did the install guide two times, with my pi0w powered off after each attempt . will try it in another image tomorrow on both retropie and recalbox.

Hi yaya.
i almost successfully did every step in your guide for power optimization. but after this last command :
sudo apt-get install openssh-sftp-server"
i got this error :
pi@retropie:~ $ sudo apt-get install openssh-sftp-server

E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

any thoughts or help on this ?

Ooouch... you should not have rebooted
The answer is given in the error
« Maybe run apt-get update »
This was covered on a previous reply here
https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 190#p59424
Now to revert this you need to either :
1) format and redo from scratch
2) plug a keyboard to the usb port and hit F4 to quit to the terminal
3) use bluetooth keyboard
Tell me which option you can use, easiest is plug usb keyboard.
Then you update database, and then install openssh server.
Did you install dropbear ? Really strange that you can’t ssh anymore. Openssh server is just for sftp protocol so normally, not having it don’t interfer with ssh.
Keep posting here your troubleshooting

i did run apt-get update.
i installed dropbear. if i follow the link to the ssh server install i got in the error message. i get a 404 error. the file is not on their server
http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/rasp ... _armhf.deb
i went into their ftp link and found these
http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/rasp ... o/openssh/
and found a corresponding .deb file.
will one of these work? and how to install it ?

manually forcing installs is very risky you could break dependencies and really f..k the system
you should retry updating the software list
and then install the openssh-server.
Please try plugging a keyboard and let me know what is returning update

none of my usb keyboards/controllers are being detected only my one old og xbox360 controller. (and my gpio buttons of corse)
yes i should have tested this before messing with removing and altering key functions to the system i know
i only used filezilla for roms/custom themes and putty for commands. will try getting a bluetooth keyboard tomorrow

at this point you can plug the sd card into a linux system, copy the user folder, reinstall everything and copy back your home folder to restore roms. It may be easier for you, because if a standard usb is not recognised, i doubt a Bluetooth dongle would beKillar wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 2:22 pmnone of my usb keyboards/controllers are being detected only my one old og xbox360 controller.
