I like this build. Glad to see the buttons going to good use. I'm in the middle of a pi3 build as well. Trying to fit 8lbs of shit in a 5lb bag is taking a lot longer than anticipated. Also glad to see someone trying out the battery cover buttons with no pogos, it has the potential to show some versatility. In your opinion, Marcus, where would be a good spot to have additional solder pads...if any more?

All solderpads on one side, one gnd. Maybe holes instead of solderpads or combined. It have to be ca. 1cm from the upper edge. It is not good to see on my pictures, the soldering tin is very smalll on the upper edge of the pcb. There must be no gap due to soldering tin between housing and board.

The buttons are very small, I still have to find out if it's practically useful for me. The position is good. I don't like the usual position above the battery compartment like all the other GBz.

The Idea is very good. I had already thought of something similar for my Pi3 build (then your system pops out). Only without additional buttons (cuts in the battery cover). I'll paint you a picture in the near future.

I replaced the 320x480 screen two weeks later by a new 640x480 from kite and covered all the leds on th board with tape.

As I wrote here (a), the DieselDummy buttons are not for me. That is why I've come up with my own flat method.

Works perfect.

The 640x480 screen is amazing. Games like ThemeHospital, Settlers 2, Broken Sword 2 are working perfect with it.

We all know debian is an amateur kiddie like operating system. So I decided to use a high quality Windows 3.11 from the world market leader Microsoft on my Gameboy for use in a professional business environment.

Is anyone interested in buying the battery cover with DieselDummy buttons? Works technically flawlessly. Just solder five cables and you are done.

Where did you get the white Gameboy cartridge? I have one of kitsch's white cartridges which I plan to use. I couldn't find any games that used a white base cartridge
