2nd Pity's Gameboy Pi3 with kite's SAIO, 640x480 screen, HDMI out, 6.000mah battery, gorrilla glass protector...
Hello sudomoders,
I have already completed the construction of my new GameBoy.
With kites SAIO is more easy to built it, the performance is very good, the battery lasts a lot, and almost does not heat up (install the fan that sells Kite).
I also installed the 640x480 screen and it's just spectacular, nothing to do with my previous Gameboy.
If that were not enough, I also installed an HDMI output with an FPC cable on the bottom of the case for the future screen cloning that kite's has commented on some occasion. (I Hope that it is available with a software update). Actually, modifying the boot/config.txt can play with the Gameboy in the TV via HDMI.
I installed a SD usb card reader inside, and I have two SD, one for the operating system and the second for the ROMs, for update the software if more simply. The game cartridge is removable for easy access to the operating system SD.
Also modified the microusb charging port, in original SAIO it's to "deep", I reemplaced for other type and adapt it.
Also mount the 6000 mAh battery, protector screen gorrilla glass, and the pack of stickers by Yaya . Also installed L2 and R2 buttons for play to my favourite games of PSX .
Thanks to all the people that worked in the parts of my Gameboy, but speciality to kites, her job and her SAIO it's simply impressive.
Some pics, I hope that your likes:

Solid build!
Does this screen also fit perfectly if you do a cut out without using the glass?

Wow, Great work!
Did this screen fit in the case or did you have to shave the casing?

I did not shave the casing, I just removed the metal frame from the screen and filed the outer edge (the white part) about 2 mm and it fits perfectly.craptastrophe wrote: โThu Feb 15, 2018 3:29 pmDid this screen fit in the case or did you have to shave the casing?
