I second the Hydro Dip comment, really cool. I have always been tempted to do that with one. I may have to try it out. I was thinking just a cool color pattern, not an actual photo though.

It wasn't terribly hard to do, but you do have to get a handful of ingredients which makes it a little pricey. It's a little tricky to do as when you spray the applicator on the paper the pattern starts to stretch. So it makes it really difficult to dip things uniformly. My backside of the case turned out horribly, that's why I chose a black back instead of using both hydro dipped sides

thats a shame about the back (but it still looks ok, with the two tone)....
(adding some decals/logos will finish it off)
i've seen alot of Youtube videos of how to Hydro-Dip, and have really wanted to do it....
i was personally thinking of a carbon fiber, or other pattern styles.... maybe even a wood effect.....

I agree a pattern like that would be sweet. Ready my previous post though, dipping is a little hard to keep the pattern in the proper proportions though. As soon as you spray the Hydropaper with the activator, it begins to start spreading out in all directions, so you really need act quickly.VeteranGamer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 12:53 pmi was personally thinking of a carbon fiber, or other pattern styles.... maybe even a wood effect.....
The videos I've seen on youtube are about half and half. Some say you should put tape around all the edges, others say tape around all edges but then cut slits so the air can be released....others even say no tape, just go for it.
From experience, I taped all edged then cut out some slits. Everything works great until you spray the application, then it just instantly starts spreading in all directions. You only have a few seconds to get your item dipped before it all goes to hell. Probably next time I'll tape all the edges with no slits to see if that helps force it to hold up better for a little longer.

Great builds! How's the 3DS joystick? The PSP one is kinda of not good.

The quick and dirty answer (for me) is the 3ds joystick cap feels awesome to use, but the body is just way to big to fit correctly. The PSP cap is terrible, but the body is perfectly tiny. So I created a fix. Check my signature for the free stl file. It puts a 3ds cap on a PSP1000 body. Perfect!!edwardthehuman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 3:31 amHow's the 3DS joystick?
