Hey guys. I just wanted to post a very small update. I've been trying to work on a bracket that would keep my SNES cart from sliding too far down. I have never done any 3d modeling before and I don't have a 3d printer, but I went online to tinkercad to create a simple design. My local library has a 3D printer so, three versions later I think I made it work. Nothing fancy, but it was fun creating it. I need to clean it up a bit.
I also modified it to work with HoolyHoo's mode/power switch mount. I still don't know how to keep the cart from sliding out so for now I tested it with double sided tape, but I will need a better fix.
By cutting off the back of a gameboy cart it will fit as well. This allows me to swap between the game boy and SNES cart for a different look. The dremel got away from me a bit so the cut is not as clean as I would like. Even though it will be on the inside of the case it still bothers me. Some of you might have noticed that I got the GBZ label for the cart instead of the CM3. I just happened to like the design.
I might modify the bracket one more time to add a lip that goes over the back of the snes cart so that it won't lean forward. It kind of wants to lean forward since the metal back plate was taken off.
Since I don't have the circuit sword yet I'm not 100% sure it won't be in the way of something else, so there is a chance I may not be able to use it anyway. If that is the case I could always glue it the SNES cart into place. How ofter would I really want to take it out anyway.
Sorry for the rough pics. My wife took the photos last time and she is a much better photographer that I am.
