Hi Guys,
In the process of updating some of my links, posts etc. A few recent builds don't feature so thought I would add these.
First one being my Kite CSO.
As we know, Kite produces an amazing boards that improve with every revision. This means the CSO was fairly easy to put together
I have, as yet not decided on the cartridge slot finish.... Will I modify an original cart shell....or print one of the design ideas from other members etc...?! Maybe I'll leave it as is? As yet undecided so a little Raspberry sticker sits there in wait....
This was my first build that utilised a joystick so I trialled out drilling the hole on an early 2017 shell that never made the cut. Or rather....was cut incorrectly so sat in the spares pile until now - 10mm was a good fit for me, allowing the joystick to cover the hole and allow for a full range of motion.
Hoolyhoo did a great job on his latest screen surround which incorporates the mm perfect fit of a PSP joystick. The drill stencils work perfectly for a great fit so hats off for that work! Thanks to Pixel for printing
Ran into a slight issue with the power switch support which I know has already been addressed but was able to glue in a 3d print support. I also swapped out the tactile on the PCB for a slightly bigger one so that it protruded from the original DC hole about 2mm.
Aside from that, everything was super easy. Really nice clean finish and love the USB-C charge slot and white, crisp look. It plays like an absolute dream and the 4000mah battery lasts a good 3 hours +
Currently it's hard to gauge heat levels playing N64, for example (see aforementioned cartridge slot info) as there is plenty of air flow in its current state. I also opted for the fan which is actually pretty quiet.
I never documented every cut, drill, etc but here are a few pictures for your viewing
Kite has his own support section so any queries and answers can likely be found here:

Feel free to ask if specific to this build, however
