You could use 2.2inch or 2.4 inch or even a 2.8inch PiTFT from adafruit that may fit better in the SP case. I have ready image for these screens for retropie so you only need to setup your input buttons and the Roms.

You already know these are crisp clear and fast ;)

This screen is too big for a GBA SP shell. And my smaller one has a defect so I have to wait on a replacement.
