how have you got the fan connected?.....

straight to the GPIO
or are there some other components/parts to regulate or add the function as well....

Thanks...

.
Not straight to the GPIO I've used an NPN Transistor (S8050)

I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a content that’s both educative and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
It's really good... :o :o :o

Amazing work! I have a serious soft spot for the SP.

We really need to band together and challenge the community to start coming up with AIO boards and solutions for clean SP builds. I feel strongly about this. I want to see SP CM3 options readily available.

Oh my gosh this is such a great build! I really want to build an SP. Any plans to make a CM3 version of your board? Keep up the awesome work!

Can't agree with out.
While 1st version (SPW) is really simple to assemble,
PI3A requires a lot of soldering\desoldering and more case sculpting.
IMHO, daughterboards+motherboard design rulezz.
@ABH will it be interesting for you to try with CM3+ module with the same idea as SPW (hdmi and sdcard should be mounted)?
Here the similar project https://github.com/Dean-Chu/Retro-CM3.
If you are interested please let me donate CM3+ module, and thanks for SPW!
