Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forums, and was interested in making a GBZ myself. I started this project a few weeks ago and finally managed to finish it. I'm a noob at electronics so the interior turned out a little (extremely) messy, with wires everywhere. I used a GameBoy Zero shell, button PCB, and buttons from Atomic Market on Amazon. When I received the buttons, the colors reminded me of Gengar so much that I decided I had to paint him on the shell. Although I'm not very good at painting, I think it turned out fine . I 3d printed the cartridge placeholder by RotiiK.

Nice build. My question is more about 3d printing:
But what happend to your printed cartidge? I assume the visible surface was not on the build plate!?
There are some waves inside the surface which I assume could been caused by not well tight axis belt.

They weren't on the build plate as i printed it upright... I'm not really sure what happened, as I just got a 3d printer and am still figuring out how to use it

I LOVE the Gengar case! When you paint these, what is the process?

I lightly sanded the area that I was going to paint, and then painted the Gengar with regular acrylic paint (just because I had a lot laying around). I then coated it with a few layers of automobile clear coat. After letting that dry, I slightly sanded it with really fine sandpaper. To make up for the rough texture. If I ever do this again though, I think I'll buy an airbrush kit and try it that way just because I'm not very good at painting
