Hey everyone, I’ve been meaning to make this post for a while. I completed the project back in July, but got crazy busy with work.

Here’s my first build. I’ve got a good amount of experience with hobby electronics (I’m a Mod on Therebelarmory.com, where we build crazy lightsabers), so I decided to start big. Very clean install, minimal glue.

The specs:
Kubino case
Kite CS
PI CM3
Dex Tech battery
Veco bass speaker
Plethora of hoolyhoo brackets.
Hoolyhoo fan cartridge (custom printed from shapeways).
Hoolyhoo psp screen bracket.
Hoolyhoo back button board (L1 L2 R1 R2).
PSP joystick
Buttons from I can’t remember where (one of the big game boy modding sites).
Stickers and glass CM3 screen protector from Yaya.

This thing is epic and runs like a champ. Huge thanks to hoolyhoo, yaya, and kubino. I actually messaged Hooly extensively and he was INCREDIBLE to work with. His files are the bees knees. Kubino also, his work is incredible. Yaya also, AMAZING stickers and fantastic glass screen. Bravo to you three, couldn’t have done it without you.

It’s a dream machine, it brings me back to when I got the first DMG (still have four of them laying around). I feel like I have my childhood back.

Big thanks to Kite also. The board is amazing, and extremely stable. I’ve had ZERO issues with it.

I should also mention, this 5,000 mah battery from Dex is CRAZY. I’ve charged it fewer times than I have fingers. The battery life is astronomical. It blows away EVERY other device in my house.

**If anyone is interested, I can dig the internal install photos out of my old phone.

I love the LEDs, what did you use for those? 2mm towers?

Those leds are just SMD leds attached to the Kite CS board. Kubino had been playing around with drilling holes in the case so the leds could be seen, so I had him do that to my case. Turned out great!

I really dig the colors too. Nice to see something other than classic dmg/snes/sfc/black or white builds.

I do believe you are right. I do have a Kitsch Bent rubber wrist band, so that sounds right.
