My new build...
Cutting the holes for the X and Y buttons was a pain. I messed up the first time but nailed it on the second attempt.
I like the white case, grey button combo.

Looks great! I've built a couple Freeplay Zeros and yea the X & Y buttons were a pain each time.

Thanks.MrErickson wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 7:35 amLooks great! I've built a couple Freeplay Zeros and yea the X & Y buttons were a pain each time.
I even used the supplied hole drilling guide (hot glued to the front shell so it wouldn't move) and realised after drilling that one of the holes in the guide was off by about 0.5 to 1mm.

Re: New Freeplay GBA Zero
I've had good luck with increasing the hole size a little at a time then fitting in the PCb to be sure I'm still centered. Its slow but saved me from a shell replacement last time.

That was the best way and what I did on my second attempt after going gung-ho and messing it up the first time.MrErickson wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 11:09 amI've had good luck with increasing the hole size a little at a time then fitting in the PCb to be sure I'm still centered. As I have said before, it looks a lot better in a solid colour. Hope you are enjoying it.
