HDMI audio to AIO amp

Post by y2jb » Fri Aug 11, 2017 6:51 am

I've decided to try and go with a hdmi based screen for my GBZ (after looking at the backup camera and comparing to the HDMI screen there was a ridiculously large difference in quality). Now HDMI also gives me a simple way to get audio out of the PI zero, i've test wired my adafruit speaker to the 3.5mm audio jack and audio comes out no problem. However the audio is quiet and there is no way to adjust volume. I'm using one of these AIO boards:

My question is, given my 2 audio wires coming off the screen board, can i wire them to the AIO amp? Can i just run them to the PWM pads or would i need to rn them directly to the amp? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Wire your 2 audio wires to the top 2 pins on the volume wheel then wire the remaining wheel pins to the AIO 3 pads Lout,Rout,GND.

The AIO you're using is one of Helders 😉
