display help (BW screen issues)

Hey everyone,

I had ordered this BW screen from amazon. Unfortunately the control board did not match up with wermy's guide and the raspberry Pi I am using for this build is a pi zero wireless which doesn't have the "PP" labels on it. I tried to connect the pi to the monitor regardless and had little success. I had found this post and had tried to solder the wires that way and.. there was a single flash of light on the monitor and nothing! The Pi is fine (I kept hooking it up to my tv every once in awhile just incase I had messed it up soldering). I have done a bit of searching all day today and had found on the BW wiki page that my monitor was variant 8 However, the 5v mod didn't give much detail. I had tried to match the photo and no luck not even a flicker. If anyone could point me in the right direction on building with the RPi zero wireless or just this BW screen issue alone that would be amazing.
