Hi, all! This is my first GameBoy Zero and it's been a learning experience, to be sure.
My latest hurdle has been the power and screen. I've attached this power supply from Hanh-held Legend:
https://handheldlegend.com/collections/ ... n-charging
And I'm using Camble's safe shutdown, and the Gearbest screen. I don't have a battery connected yet, but I'm have the power supply hooked into the wall directly.
When I have my USB hub plugged in, the screen flickers and the blue power light on the power supply flickers as well. Is it just that the hub is drawing too much power?
I'm using this hub: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003M ... UTF8&psc=1
Modified so that it has a USB cable that can connect to the Raspberry Pi.
When I plug the Pi in directly and bypass the power supply, the screen and hub both work.
Thanks for the help!

Re: Screen not working with USB hub attached
What veteran said is correct. That particular power booster needs a battery connected for it to work properly. Even when plugged into the wall it will not work without a battery.
I ran into this issue on my first gbz as well. Though it was a bad powerboost before I realized I just needed the battery attached.
After attaching a battery I'm sure it will work normally for you.

On one hand, I'm embarrassed that it was that easy to fix.VeteranGamer wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 11:03 pmthere is your issue.....

Working great now! Thanks so much!
